Lighting: Ensure that your face is evenly lit, without overwhelming shadows. If filming in your home or office, try sitting or standing opposite a window for plentiful natural light.

Sound: Speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard. Be mindful of surrounding sounds, and try to film in a quiet place devoid of as much noise as possible (busy streets, machine noise such as air conditioning, fan, etc.)

Be yourself: Do your best to shake the pressure off. This is not a performance but rather an honest telling of what God has done in your life. Prioritize sincerity over perfection!

Imagine 1 Person: It can help to imagine one person that you’re talking to—possibly a friend who does not know God or is going through a hard time. Imagine you’re simply telling one person about the goodness of Jesus is your life.

Emotions are welcomed!: Feel free to laugh, cry, or smile.

Details help viewers engage: Sharing a specific story or details from your life can help you to enter into a storytelling mode and can help viewers to connect to you more tangibly.

Pray before recording: Ask the Lord to speak through you. There’s nothing as powerful as connecting to God’s Spirit as you share!
